We’ll start with a phone call so we can determine if we’re a good fit. If so, we’ll plan a style and design consultation. During your consultation, I will ask a lot of questions and once I have enough information about your style and wish list, I will share my artistic vision for the session with you to make sure you concur. We will have discussed your priorities and taste in terms of colors, use of props, style, location, etc. The style and design consultation can be done via phone, at your home, or in my studio. I am happy to help select clothing pieces from your closets to assist with the sometimes ‘challenging’ task of getting your outfits together for a family session!
PLAN YOUR SESSION
Sessions make take place inside my beautiful studio in downtown Campbell, a favorite outdoor location, or your own property (inside or out). I try to make the entire experience exciting and fun. If your children are shy, don’t worry, I will work hard to bring their personality out a bit so it shines through in the images. I am experienced with personalities of all types and children with special needs. I will guide you on how to pose, where to stand, what to do with your hands, etc. I avoid compositions that look stiff and uncomfortable and prefer to put family members very close to one another when posing them. I use flattering angles and beautiful, soft light. I usually take a mix of posed and candid images. Even though I want your candids to look totally authentic, I still give you a little guidance and direction to achieve natural looking portraits.
ENJOY YOUR PORTRAITS
We will meet in person to select your favorite images and make your product selections. Many of my clients use the images from their sessions as pieces of home decor; what a great way to create a warm, nurturing environment with your own family featured front and center. You deserve to enjoy your portraits every day and if they visible in your home, they are sure to be treasured and enjoyed by your friends and family members. I travel to photography conferences and trade shows regularly seeking items of the highest quality which showcase your images beautifully. These items become heirlooms that you’ll be proud to display in your home, that stand the test of time, and can be passed down in your family. Once your portraits are ready, I can help with wall art installation in your home to complete your amazing experience.
